1. Introduction

DeHydration respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By downloading or using DeHydration, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who we are

Contact: ammadrazzaq181@gmail.com
Support: support.html

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide in the App

Most hydration data stays on your device. When you use DeHydration, you may enter or generate:

  • Hydration logs — drink types, amounts, and timestamps
  • Profile settings — weight, activity level, weather preference, and goal mode
  • Daily goals & progress — calculated intake, goals (ml or oz), and historical day summaries
  • App preferences — unit system (ml/oz), onboarding status, and related settings

We do not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use core App features.

3.2 Information stored on your device

The data above is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage (for example, UserDefaults). We do not operate our own cloud database for your hydration history unless we explicitly tell you otherwise in a future update.

3.3 Apple Health (optional)

With your permission, the App may read your step count from Apple HealthKit to display steps in the App. The App does not write data to HealthKit. You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → DeHydration.

3.4 Purchases & subscriptions

If you subscribe to DeHydration Pro, payment is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status and related receipt information needed to unlock premium features. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

3.5 Device & usage information

We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and improve the App, such as:

  • Device type, operating system version, and App version
  • Crash or performance data if you opt in to sharing diagnostics with developers via Apple
  • Basic in-app events (for example, paywall views) logged only in debug builds during development

3.6 App Tracking Transparency

On supported iOS versions, we may ask for permission to track your device across other companies' apps and websites for advertising measurement (for example, to understand ad campaign performance). If you deny permission, we respect your choice and do not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) for that purpose.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide hydration tracking, goals, statistics, reminders, and related features
  • Display optional step data from Apple Health when authorized
  • Validate and manage DeHydration Pro subscriptions
  • Improve reliability, security, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to support requests
  • Measure marketing effectiveness when you have granted tracking permission

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Storage & retention

Hydration logs and profile data remain on your device until you delete the App or reset App data from within Settings. Subscription records are retained as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/accounting requirements.

If you contact support, we retain correspondence for a reasonable period to resolve your request.

6. Sharing & third parties

We may share limited information with:

  • Apple Inc. — App Store purchases, HealthKit (when you authorize), and system services
  • Service providers — only if we later use tools (such as analytics or email) that require processors; we will update this policy if that changes
  • Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not share your on-device hydration history with advertisers.

7. Apple Health

Health data accessed through HealthKit is handled according to Apple's policies and your permissions. We use step count only to show you relevant information inside the App. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

8. App tracking

You can control tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone. Denying tracking does not remove access to free App features that do not require a subscription.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent (for example, Health or tracking permissions) at any time via device settings
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EEA/UK users)

Because most data is stored on your device, you can delete it by removing the App or using in-app reset options. For subscription management, use Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information as defined by California law.

10. Children

DeHydration is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International users

If you use the App outside your home country, information may be processed on your device and by Apple in accordance with their terms. By using the App, you understand that Apple and applicable service providers may process data in countries where they operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App where appropriate.
